Julius Randle played a key role in securing the game ball for teammate Jalen Brunson after the latter's 50-point performance on Friday. Randle and RJ Barrett had already planned to secure the ball for Brunson after the final buzzer, and Randle made sure to take charge of the situation.
When asked about the game ball, Randle said that he didn't trust teammate Ryan Arcidiacono to secure it successfully. He joked that he had to make sure he got the ball and secured it himself, adding that he had seen "how ugly the situation got between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks for the game ball."
Randle's comments were in jest, and Arcidiacono responded with a confused GIF. The Knicks were clearly having a good time with each other after their big win.
Brunson's 50-point game was a remarkable performance, and he deserves to have the game ball to remember it by. Randle made sure that happened, and he had some fun doing it.
